Thomas Kehoe is a masters graduate of University College Dublin and University of Cambridge and has held previous positions as Director of Music with UCD Philharmonic Choir and Principal Guest Conductor of Mullingar Choral Society. He is currently MD of Ballinteer Male Voice Choir and The Amici Singers, while holding the post of organist in Kilmacud Parish. Thomas moved to Kilkenny in 2016 and has immersed himself in the musical culture of the city, notably performing with St Canice’s Cathedral Choir, singing in Kilkenny Arts Festival and accompanying the award-winning choirs of Presentation Secondary School. “I’m very much looking forward to working with The Kilkenny Choir from September and continuing to use my skills to further enrich musical life in the city.”
Eoin O’ Callaghan began studying piano at the age of 7 with the late Annette DeFoubert. In 2001, he entered the undergraduate degree programme in The Cork School of Music where he studied with the renowned teacher Jan Cap. Graduating in 2005, he took a position teaching at the Clare Music Education Centre in Ennis. The following year, Eoin decided to further his studies by returning to The Cork School of Music to complete a taught Masters in performance under the tutelage of Nicholas O’ Halloran. After graduating in September 2008 Eoin was offered a job at the Kilkenny School of Music where he is currently one of the teaching staff: he also teaches in various private studios around Cork city. In recent years he has performed in An Glór Theatre in Ennis, The Crawford Art Gallery, The Curtis Auditorium with the CSM Chamber Orchestra and the Stack Theatre at the Cork School of Music, the Aula Max UCC, Kerry School of Music Fleischmann Studio, and Kilkenny Castle. He also made his international debut in 2010 at the Utrecht Conservatoire, Holland. Eoin is also an aviation fanatic and when not involved in music he enjoys flying small aircraft. He currently holds a Private Pilot’s Licence.
